「ナイトワーク」
ここにアップしている作品群は、"練習"と銘打っているものの、一点一点質量を持たせたシリーズ作品です。壁画のある現地とは離れた場所に住む自分は、「壁画を作る＝風景を新たに産み出した」というひとつの責任として、現地に関わる絵ハガキを1日午前午後の2枚描くことで、現地について想像をはたらかすことを課しています。つまりこれら毎日の作品は「現地風景へ贈る絵ハガキ」とも言えるだろうし、現地へ来た証、もしくはこの壮大な芸術のマケットやアイデアの片鱗、また壁画群制作への加担の半券であると考えます。
現実に存在する大壁画群と毎日のハガキ、ずっとずっと楽しんでいただければと思っています。
そしてコレクションしていただくという形の支援により、壁画が新たに描かれていくという過程を共に進んでくだされば嬉しいです。

The works uploaded here, though labeled as “practice,” are a series in which each piece carries its own weight and significance.
Living far from the site where the murals exist, I take on the responsibility of “creating murals = giving birth to a new landscape.” As part of this commitment, I draw two postcards each day—one in the morning and one in the afternoon—depicting scenes related to the site. This practice serves as a way to engage my imagination with the place from a distance.
In this sense, these daily works can be seen as “postcards sent to the landscape.” They are a testament to my connection with the site, fragments of concepts and maquettes for this grand artistic endeavor, and perhaps even a symbolic ticket proving my participation in the creation of the murals.
I hope that both the vast, real-life mural series and these daily postcards will continue to bring enjoyment for a long time to come.

制作アーティストの安井鷹之介は、
「壁画を描く行為はスポーツにも似たフィジカル性を伴うものである」と言います。
「LifeDrawings | 今日の練習」と名付けられた習作品は、安井が次に巨大な防潮堤に壁画を描く本番にむけて、壁画前に作る彫刻作品のインストールにむけて、毎日練習をするかのように描きつづける作品群であり、それは小さな壁画とも言えます。
雄勝町をはじめ、世界各地の人々の姿、風景、文化など、多様な側面でこの作品群に現れる空気感を感じてください。
Takanosuke Yasui, the artist who created the mural, says, "The act of painting a mural is something that involves a physicality similar to that of sports. The study pieces titled "Workout | Today's Practice" are a group of works that Yasui paints every day as if he were practicing for the next time he will paint a mural on a huge seawall, which could be called a small mural. Please feel the atmosphere that emerges in the diverse aspects of this body of work, including the people, landscapes, and cultures of Ogatsu-cho and other places around the world where he has traveled.
